I was hanging with my 10yr old grandson Colton (such a good kid). He wanted to watch a movie, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and eat popcorn.

Popcorn wasn’t really my thing, but I figured what the heck, I’ll give it a try. I looked up a topping recipe online and went at it. Before I knew it, I had messed up the recipe (told you it wasn’t my thing), so I decided to throw it out. Colton caught me, and said “that’s ok, I’ll eat it like that", so I drizzl'd it on the popcorn, and lo and behold he loved it!   

Soooo, I made it again, and again, and again!  I brought it to family dinners, game night with friends, lake parties, football games – the list goes on. Everybody loved it!  So much so, that not only did they tell me how fresh and delicious it was - most suggested that I turn it into a business. 

I was flattered enough to keep making it but pretty much ignored the idea of going into business – until one day!

My friend Becky was sitting at my kitchen table eating the popcorn, and she said “I can’t believe how delicious this popcorn is.”  So, I said kind of jokingly, 'How would you like to go into business with me?', and voila, drizzl was born."

We're located in Harrison, Maine. We work from our homes and keep our lives balanced with work, family, exercise and the occasional happy hour at our favorite local bar. We use the best organic ingredients we can find and are always looking for local ingredients - although finding coconut oil in Maine is a challenge! A native Mainer, I grew up in “the friendly village” of Harrison, Maine. After 30 years living in Massachusetts, Florida, and nearby Bethel, Maine, raising three kids and working full time, my husband and I decided to move to Harrison. I also retired, convinced I wanted to spend my golden years knitting, gardening, catching up on 30 years of missed movies and waiting not-so-patiently for grandchildren. I spent the first year and a half knitting and gardening, saw only one movie but alas, we still have no grandchildren. I needed something to do. Luckily, that is about the time Debi asked me to consider a partnership making and selling this amazing popcorn topping. The rest, as they say, is history.

Probably like most of you, I always wanted to do something fun. You know - a passion. The problem was, most of my life I didn’t really have a passion, until one day when I did. It all happened by default.
